Baked Donuts

Recipe:

Serving Size: 8  mini doughnut cakes

Ingredients:

    •    1 egg

    •    1/4 cup sugar

    •    1 tablespoon vanilla bean

    •    1/4 cup vegetable oil

    •    1/4 cup whole milk

    •    1/2 cup cocoa powder

    •    1/2 cup flour

    •    1 teaspoon baking powder

    •    A pinch of salt

•  2 tablespoons of water

Topping:

    •    1/2 cup dark chocolate

    •    1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the egg, sugar, vanilla bean, oil, and milk until smooth.

  2. Add cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until just combined.

  3. Pour the batter evenly into a greased donut pan (makes 8).

  4. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.

  5. Let the donut cakes cool completely.

  6. For the topping, combine dark chocolate and heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl.

  7. Microwave for 1 minute, then stir until smooth.

  8. Pour the chocolate topping over the cooled donut cakes.
