Baked Donuts
Recipe:
Serving Size: 8 mini doughnut cakes
Ingredients:
• 1 egg
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 1 tablespoon vanilla bean
• 1/4 cup vegetable oil
• 1/4 cup whole milk
• 1/2 cup cocoa powder
• 1/2 cup flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• A pinch of salt
• 2 tablespoons of water
Topping:
• 1/2 cup dark chocolate
• 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions:
In a bowl, whisk together the egg, sugar, vanilla bean, oil, and milk until smooth.
Add cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until just combined.
Pour the batter evenly into a greased donut pan (makes 8).
Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.
Let the donut cakes cool completely.
For the topping, combine dark chocolate and heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave for 1 minute, then stir until smooth.
Pour the chocolate topping over the cooled donut cakes.
