Garlic Bread Knots
Recipe:
Dough:
• 5 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 tablespoon yeast
• 1 tablespoon salt
• 2 tablespoons sugar
• ¼ cup olive oil
• 1½ cups warm water
Topping:
• 1 stick butter
• ½ tablespoon salt
• ½ tablespoon garlic powder
• 4 cloves garlic, minced
• ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
• ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. Add the olive oil and warm water, then mix until a soft dough forms. Knead until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise until doubled in size.
Shape the Knots: Once risen, divide the dough into pieces, roll into ropes, and tie each into a knot. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let rest for 15–20 minutes.
Bake: Preheat the oven to 380°F (190°C). Bake the knots for 20–22 minutes, or until golden brown.
Make the Topping: While baking, melt the butter in a saucepan. Stir in salt, garlic powder, and minced garlic. Cook briefly until fragrant.
Finish: Brush the warm knots generously with the garlic butter. Sprinkle with Parmesan and parsley.
Enjoy warm!
