Recipe:
Cookie Layer Ingredients:
• 1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, softened
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup white sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 egg
• 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions:
Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.
Mix in the vanilla and egg.
Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir until combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips. Set aside.
Brownie Layer Ingredients:
• 1/4 cup vegetable oil
• 2 eggs
• 1/4 cup white sugar
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 cup chocolate (melted)
• 1/2 stick (1/4 cup) unsalted butter
• 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/4 cup dark cocoa powder
• 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions:
Melt chocolate with butter, then let cool slightly.
In a bowl, whisk together oil, eggs, sugars, and vanilla.
Stir in the melted chocolate mixture.
Add flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix until smooth.
Fold in chocolate chips.
How To Bake:
Preheat your oven to 360°F (182°C).
In a greased or lined 9x9-inch pan, spread the brownie batter evenly.
Gently press the cookie dough over the brownie layer.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
Let it cool completely before cutting into squares.
