Brazilian Cheese Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg

  • ½ cup milk

  • ⅓ cup olive oil

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup cornstarch

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 360°F (182°C). Lightly grease a 6-cup muffin or cupcake pan with olive oil to prevent the cheese bread from sticking.

Step 2: Mix the Ingredients

Add the egg, milk, olive oil, salt, shredded mozzarella cheese, and cornstarch to a mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer, blend everything until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

Step 3: Fill the Pan

Evenly divide the mixture among the 6 greased muffin cups. Fill each cup with an equal amount so the breads bake evenly.

Step 4: Bake

Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until the cheese breads are puffed up and lightly golden on the outside. Baking time may vary depending on your oven.

Step 5: Cool and Enjoy

Remove the pan from the oven and allow the cheese breads to cool slightly before taking them out. Serve warm with your favorite jam, or enjoy them on their own!

Storage Tips

  • Refrigeration: Once completely cooled, store the cheese breads in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days for best quality.

  • Reheating: Warm them in the oven or air fryer until heated through to bring back some of their crispness. You can also use a microwave for a softer texture.

  • Freezing: For longer storage, freeze them in an airtight, freezer-safe container.

A little homemade goodness! These Brazilian cheese breads are simple, satisfying, and full of cheesy flavor. Pair them with your favorite jam and enjoy a delicious bite anytime.
