Ingredients:

• 3 cups flour

• 1 teaspoon salt

• 1 teaspoon baking powder

• 2 tablespoons sugar

• 2 sticks frozen butter

• 1 cup buttermilk

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 370°F.

  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar.

  3. Grate or cut in the frozen butter until mixture is crumbly.

  4. Stir in the buttermilk until dough comes together.

  5. Place dough on a floured surface, gently fold and turn it over 6 times (do not overwork).

  6. Divide into 9 portions and place on a baking sheet.

  7. Bake for 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
